Functional Shade. Architectural Intention.

This project at the Hurricane High Seminary building is a great example of how STUART blends purpose with design. Tasked with creating both sun protection and visual interest, we installed a freestanding louvered pavilion at the front of the building and multiple steel eyebrow shade structures across the windows of the building.

The pavilion, positioned near the entrance, creates a shaded gathering space for students and staff. Built with fixed louvered slats and heavy-duty steel, it provides year-round durability and comfort, inviting connection while enhancing the curb appeal.

Along the building, custom steel eyebrow shades were added above key windows to reduce glare and heat inside the classrooms. These powder-coated steel structures add both function and architectural texture, breaking up the wall lines with thoughtful shadow and form.

This is how we approach every project: solutions that serve, structures that last.

That’s what it means to be Built by STUART.
